I ask them what they think the video tells us. Does it have a message - The message is that what goes around comes back around.
Children will often say that the small birds were mean to the big bird because he is different - He is a lot different also it looked like the big bird didn’t even know that he was getting bullied by the little birds. He was HEAVY too!
This sparks the debate - Who are the mean ones = The little birds Why are they mean - Because he is different Are any of the small birds worse than others - No
Is there a moral to the story?Yes there is what ever happened to the big bird it reflected on the little birds even badder. Could you give it a new title? The Odd Bird out . Write in your own words what you think this video is about and post to your Blog under Literacy.
